My primary creative endeavors are running my graphic design studio; acting as Gallery Director for the Athenaeum Gallery in Alexandria Virginia; making seashell, glass bead, and pearl encrusted boxes and bracelets; and crafting ‘botanic arts’ entries for flower show competitions. I take great pleasure and satisfaction in each of these areas — and hope you will enjoy samples of each by clicking menu topics at the top of the page.
Graphic design is my primary business. Twig Murray Creative has been designing logos, developing print, and producing websites for over 20 years. Get more information and see samples of my work by clicking on graphic design.
My work with the Athenaeum Gallery is a pro bono labor of love. If you are in the Northern Virginia area, please stop by to see some of the fascinating and wonderful work being created by artists in the DC/MD/VA region.
Making the bead and shell boxes is meditative and mesmerizing to me. You can see several of them by clicking on boxes. Follow me on Instagram, to see photos of the process and recently finished projects.
The botanic arts projects are entries in a new classes of competition at flower shows. Each piece is a response to a challenge to make a particular item with nothing visible but natural, botanic materials, treated only with thin layers of paint. Like I said, making things makes me happy.
